12/29/2023 0 Comments Drupal 7 viewsIn my case I had 5+ entity types with External Entities, all open data with a geofield, and I wanted a map displaying everything with a facet to show/hide each type. I've had issues with 2 blocks not showing facets since they're a check on how the source is rendered, but that's must have been my own specifics tweaks (facets rendered in table header via code, not with classic block insertion plus usage of the Facets block)Īs a bonus I'll share a neat trick : indexing multiple entity types and merging indexes with Solr. This allows for the page to be a Page display and the other view to be a Block display. Keep in mind that a single index with multiple bundles is possible (with or without Solr) but I think each indexed fields must have a different property key, which can cause trouble when you output your view : you might have to use the "rewrite output" option to merge 2 fields in a single column of a table for example.Ī single index as a source of a view and some Facets instead of exposed field will work and allow both outputs to be driven by the same facets, since they would share the same Facet source. , a Search API index to normalize your data is a good solution.
